# Collection

The Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin preserves and maintains some 4.5 million objects relating to the culture and history of the city in its depot.

**Selected objects on various thematic focuses are presented on the occasion of changing permanent and special exhibitions in the Foundation's six museums as well as in cooperation with other museums.**

In terms of quality and abundance, the continuously growing collection is one of the largest collections of urban and cultural history in Germany. The collected objects are also available to scientific research and other museums on loan.
