Enriched by personal experiences,  Michaela Dudley (Jurs Dr.), a Berlin-based queer feminist with African-American roots, speaks about historical events and current issues – whether about divided germany, queer history or everyday racism. She is always concerned with solidarity.

Participants

Michaela Dudley (born 1961) is a cabaret artist, keynote speaker and diversity coach. A lawyer by training (Juris Doctor, US), she is committed to celebrating diversity in all her activities. She comments on socially critical hot topics as a columnist for the TAZ and as an author for Siegessäule, Tagesspiegel and Missy Magazine. Her book “Race Relations: Essays on Racism” was published by GrünerSinn in early February 2022.

Sophie Eliot is a cultural mediator specialising in anti-discrimination and awareness raising work in curatorial practices. Since December 2020, she has been working for the Stadtmuseum Berlin with a focus on outreach.

Tandem guided tour

The tandem guided tour involves two people. An educator and a Berlin expert guide you through selected exhibition areas. The invited expert determines the subject matter. The experts will bring their own varied professional and personal backgrounds into the conversation and they may be a midwife, artist, small-scale female entrepreneur, biologist, historian, archaeologist, psychologist, female fire fighter or restorer. People who work as volunteers or who have provided curatorial support in the exhibition will also be invited. This makes every tandem guided tour individual and unique.
