Berlin\u2019s oldest surviving church building has been a defining feature of the Nikolai Quarter and the centre of Berlin since the Middle Ages: once a place of worship, now a museum of church, architectural and urban history. Of particular interest to families is the model of the medieval twin cities of Berlin and C\u00f6lln. Here, children and adults can explore together which buildings from that era still stand and what the area looks like today.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"block block-copy\">\n\t<div class=\"container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7 col-md-offset-5\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"copy\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>On the Day of Action, a guided German language tour of the permanent exhibition\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadtmuseum.de\/en\/exhibition\/berlins-middle\">Berlin\u2019s Middle<\/a>\u00a0offers in-depth insights into the history of the area. There are also two special exhibitions: \u2018Fighting over Stones?!\u2019 uses six video stations to shed light on the colonial past of Berlin\u2019s St Nicholas\u2019 Church. \u2018Who ruled the city?\u2019 explores the church, power and coexistence before 1800, offering new perspectives on seven objects on display in the permanent exhibition.<br>\u00a0<br>An audio guide for families takes visitors on a tour of the museum with exciting stories in German. Families in particular are warmly invited \u2013 admission is free for everyone under 18 or for those eligible for concessions. Good reasons to look forward to great activities at the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the Museum Nikolaikirche and the Museum Knoblauchhaus!<br>\u00a0<br>Our solidarity-based pricing model offers free admission for adults with proof of concessions, including students, apprentices, those undertaking FSJ, F\u00d6J and BFD placements, people with severe disabilities, refugees, recipients of B\u00fcrgergeld or ALG I, and many others. Everyone else pays only the museum admission fee and can benefit from our discounted combined ticket for all three museums.
