Resistant Spirits: Church, Colonialism and beyond\u201d at the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadtmuseum.de\/en\/exhibition\/dekoloniale-what-remains\">Dekoloniale &#8211; what remains?!<\/a>, five selected guest artists present their works at the Museum Nikolakirche and also work with and in the public space of Berlin.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"block block-headline has-default-color block-no-margin\" >\n\t<div class=\"container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"box\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"h3\">Percy Nii Nortey: Break from Reality<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"block block-copy\">\n\t<div class=\"container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"copy\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The foundation of Nortey\u2019s art practice is the collaboration with various proletariat community members in Ghana, including car mechanics, charcoal sellers, and market women. He uses fabric stained from their daily work to reflect their labor and how essential it is for society as a whole. <br><br>By distributing fabric to workers and later collecting it stained with oil, fuel, and dirt, he transforms these materials, charged with personal histories, into proxies for collective memory. His approach actively engages the local community, fostering connections, and reshaping perceptions to highlight the importance of their labor in society, thus contributing to the decolonization of minds.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"block block-headline has-highlight-color block-no-margin\" >\n\t<div class=\"container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"box\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"h3\">The art work<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"block block-copy\">\n\t<div class=\"container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"copy\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Break from Reality aims to dismantle colonial ideologies of white supremacy spread by European missionaries in 19th-century Ghana.
