Duration
2h

The medicinal herb garden Hevrîn Xelef in Berlin‑Neukölln is a transcultural space that brings together feminist perspectives, knowledge of plants, and experiences of displacement, trauma and healing.

Supported by the Flamingo association, this is a place of collective care, empowerment and exchange. Medicinal herbs know no borders; they tell stories that connect beyond imposed divisions.

Workshop schedule

The workshop begins with a guided walk through the former cemetery as a living space of urban community, leading to the medicinal herb garden.

In the practical part of the workshop, wild and medicinal plants are gathered according to the season and weather conditions and prepared for drying.

Participants can also create individual tea blends, which are then packaged for solidarity-based distribution.

The workshop is conceived as an open space for exchange, bringing together medicinal plants, ecological practice and social justice.

The workshop leaders Lea Nassim Tajbakhsh, K’mour Steph Wintz and Angela Mohaupt will guide you through the day.

Organisational information

The event does not take place in the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition, but at the medicinal herb garden “Hevrîn Xelef” in Berlin‑Neukölln (Hermannstraße 99, 12051 Berlin).

The tea blends produced will be donated to institutions and organisations and are not intended to be taken home.
