The archive of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin
The House Archive of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin represents the history of the SSB, its predecessor institutions as well as all former and present collections and dependencies with its file holdings, archival collections and bequests across all collections. It sees itself as a place of research and at the same time as the “historical memory” of the foundation.One of the central tasks of the archive is to preserve the holdings, estates and collections according to archival principles, to make them accessible and to make them available for use by the scientific public and provenance research.
