At the authentic location and in rooms furnished true to the original, you can find out how the Berlin merchant family Knoblauch lived here around two hundred years ago. How did they earn their money? How did they cook? And is it true that the scholar Alexander von Humboldt was often a guest here? On an exciting journey through the world of the Biedermeier era, you will also meet Carl, Eduard and Henriette – the children who once lived here. What did they play with and what did their everyday lives look like?

For children, there is also a rally through the museum illustrated by the Berlin comic artist Mawil in German, English, Turkish, Polish and Spanish. An audio guide in German especially for families leads you through the Knoblauchhaus with exciting stories. And if you want, you can have your face painted in an imaginative way in the hustle and bustle around the museum. A few steps away, our museums Ephraim-Palais and Nikolaikirche also offer a wide range of other activities for children and adults.
