“Sunday at the Nikolai Quarter” at the Museum Ephraim-Palais

Museum Ephraim-Palais
The history of the Ephraim-Palais is linked to its namesake, Veitel Heine Ephraim. The building was constructed between 1762 and 1769. It was restored in the 1980s. It is situated on the corner of Poststraße and Mühlendamm in Berlin-Mitte.

Discover the BerlinZEIT! On the 1st and 2nd floors of the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the exhibition offers you an entertaining discovery tour through the centuries and at the same time a comprehensive overview of the sometimes revolutionary events in this city. All the senses are addressed: Feel medieval fabrics, smell your way back to 1740, see the padlock from the original Brandenburg Gate and listen to interviews with people who shaped Berlin at the time of reunification.

This Sunday’s programme is all about writing and calligraphy: workshops and a crash course will introduce keen learners of all ages to the art of calligraphy, the old German Sütterlin script and the world of Chinese characters. Children can also get creative with colourful letters in the printing workshop.
