One of the highlights of the Märkisches Museum is the Polyhymat Typ 80B digitised jukebox. With songs and instrumental pieces from 1948 to the present day, the jukebox invites you to discover music from and about Berlin. Listen to what the city has to say.

Now, you don’t have to visit the museum to enjoy this unique collection of Berlin sounds: from Schlager and Swing to political songs from the divided city, to Indie, Punk, Reggae, Techno, Hip-Hop and Rap, most of the music on the jukebox is now available online as a playlist. Simply click on the round Spotify logo at the top right of the playlist and start listening. If you don’t already have a Spotify account, you can register quickly and easily free of charge. Just press play, sit back and enjoy.
