When you left the house in the Biedermeier period, you never did so without a shirt or hat. This also applied to the Knoblauch family, who once lived in the Berlin townhouse named after them. Special ladies’ hats such as the “Schute” or men’s collars such as the “Vatermörder” were part of the “look” of the Biedermeier period.
On “Sunday in the Nikolai Quarter”, everyone is invited to create their own version of the historic hat. Whether with wild patterns, glittering stars or a ragged look – unique sun hats with a connection to history are created here. Afterwards, anyone who wants to can take a souvenir photo with their own hat in front of a historical backdrop, print it out and take it home.
