Under the motto ‘Respect street culture’, this Sunday we are embarking on a cross-generational journey into the next 50 years of the hip-hop era. Between club sound, graffiti and beatboxing, a multi-faceted, cross-location portrait of Berlin’s hip-hop culture is being created at the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the Museum Nikolaikirche and the Berlin Exhibition at the Humboldt Forum – co-created by Giò Di Sera aka Don Rispeto, artistic director of StreetUniverCity Berlin e. V.
And that’s not all that the event has to offer. Berlin’s oldest preserved church building is also a museum of church, architectural and urban history. The model of the medieval city is particularly interesting for families. Here, they can discover together which buildings from that time still exist and what they look like today. An audio guide for families takes you through the museum with exciting stories in German. And especially for children, there is a museum rally illustrated by Berlin comic artist Mawil in German, English, Turkish, Polish and Arabic.
