Yesterday, today, tomorrow: much of what happens in Berlin has an impact on the world. And much of what happens in the world has an impact on Berlin. BERLIN GLOBAL, spread across 4,000 square metres at the Humboldt Forum, shows how the city and its people are connected to the world.

The ‘World Thinking’ room welcomes visitors, whilst the ‘Berlin Images’ room introduces the exhibition’s themes. These are followed by the individual themed rooms: they explore revolution, freedom, borders, pleasure, war, fashion and interconnectedness. These are aspects that can also be found in other major cities, but which, in this combination, are typical of Berlin.

The exhibition gives a voice to those who know the city best: people who live here, experts, artists, initiatives and associations: their stories, experiences and perspectives bring BERLIN GLOBAL to life.
