The Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg and BERLIN GLOBAL once again invite you to an open art and protest event in the heart of Berlin.

Join us in creating a “Palace within the Palace” – a monumental cardboard sculpture that, with your ideas and our materials, becomes the perfect backdrop for selfies. This collaborative artwork is a statement on the royal façade architecture in the centre of Berlin.
In the Schlüterhof of the Humboldt Forum, you can leave your wishes, demands, and dreams directly on our palace façade, design protest signs together, and leave stickers with your personal statement in the room “Revolution” of the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition.

At our photo station, you can have your picture taken in front of the palace façade and take home an instant photo as a keepsake to share.

Summer with Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg

For the fourth year in a row, Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg and BERLIN GLOBAL are transforming the Schlüterhof into a space for creative participation and social engagement.

The Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg

The Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg of Lebenshilfe Berlin is an Open Space for creative expression, led by David Permantier.

Alongside the artistic process, dialogue about art and social issues plays a central role. The artists are active in many parts of Berlin and are also socially and politically engaged: for example, they read out statements at the “Unteilbar” demonstration and cook for people experiencing homelessness.
Since the opening of BERLIN GLOBAL, members of the Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg have worked closely with the Stadtmuseum Berlin. In 2021, the artists designed the outdoor exhibition Un certain regard. Everyone belongs!
For three consecutive years, the Kunstwerkstatt has invited the public to join collaborative art actions in the Schlüterhof of the Humboldt Forum. Last year, they hosted an inclusive soup kitchen.
