Together with the historian and director of the Berlin Sports Museum, Veronika Springmann, we take a look at the history of the origins of sport for people with disabilities at BERLIN GLOBAL.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office in the foyer of the Humboldt Forum or online. The price includes the guided tour and the admission for the exhibition.

In doing so, Springmann explains the context of sporting activities as a treatment option for soldiers with war injuries after the two world wars in both the FRG and the GDR. She looks at the inner-city significance of the Berlin Sports Palace, built in 1910 and demolished in 1973, and talks to participants about the topics of ability, disability and inclusive sport.

Closing times

The exhibition will be closed to the public from 22 to 24 April 2024. This is due to scheduled maintenance work. There may be restrictions on exhibition operations on 25 and 26 April 2024. Thank you for your understanding.
